This answer depends on your state. You need to know the capital city of the state where you live — not Washington, D.C. (that's the national capital).
Many people confuse their state capital with the state's largest city. For example, the capital of New York is Albany (not New York City), the capital of California is Sacramento (not Los Angeles), and the capital of Texas is Austin (not Houston).
