Supreme Court justices serve for life (a lifetime appointment). They remain on the Court until they choose to retire, pass away, or are removed through impeachment.
Article III of the Constitution says federal judges serve 'during good Behaviour,' which in practice means for life. No Supreme Court justice has ever been removed through impeachment.
